This 9-week curriculum emphasizes the importance of self-regulation and personal accountability so that children grow into adulthood more empowered and with healthy self-esteem. This curriculum addresses one chakra each week with the first week dedicated to the introduction of the chakras and the final week dedicated to the integration of the chakras.
In this cross-curricular unit of study, each chakra is introduced through varying learning modalities that emphasize the practicality of chakra health and its effect on personal development. Through this area of study, students learn how to incorporate their understanding of the chakras into their development, how to regulate these energy centers, and how to healthily process their emotions in fun interactive ways.
Through integration exercises, language arts activities, reading activities, workbook activities, art projects, scientific connections, creative writing exercises, and open classroom discussions, the needs of the whole child are always addressed through playful, activity-based, cross-curricular experiences.
